Episode 2 explored the links between Psychology, Academia and Nutrition and included guest professional, Ms. Bakang Olifant, in conversation with Matshepo Setlaleleng.

Ms. Bakang Olifant is a registered Nutritionist with the Health Professional Council of South Africa, the current Vice-chairperson of the Nutrition Society of South Africa, Northern Branch Committee, and Lecturer at the North-West University Potchefstroom campus. Bakang’s interest in research started when she obtained the NRF internship which was hosted at the North-West University in 2016. She then enrolled for her Master’s Degree which she completed in 2020. The focus area of this research was of infant and young child feeding. She also currently lectures 1st and 2nd year students and supervises 4th year research students.
