Student of the year invitation

PsySSA Student of the Year 2021

It’s that time of year where we recognize the hard work and dedication of our leadership members. We have officially opened the nominations for the third PsySSA Student of the Year Award. Beginning in 2018, the PsySSA Student of the Year Award recognizes outstanding performance by a PsySSA Student Division Executive Committee member, subcommittee member, or chairperson of a university society affiliated with the Student Division.

We invite you to participate and submit your nominations by 21 September 2021.

Criteria:

  • This award can be given to any member who is part of the Executive Committee, subcommittees, or chairpersons of the university societies that are affiliated with the Student Division, that represents the epitome of a psychology student, and a “PsySSA” Student.
  • This student must have given back to the Division, by driving our vision, mission, and goals, thereby also carrying out PsySSA’s vision and mission at a student level.
  • The recipient of this award must have exceeded the expectations for their respective position.
  • This award also serves to bridge the gap between the PsySSA awards given out at the Society’s AGM and Student Awards.
  • Please note that recipients of this award may not receive it consecutively.

Nominations close on 21 September 2021. When the nominees have been finalised, we will notify you in an email and post the nominees’ names on our website and social media. Voting opens 1 October 2021. Winners will be announced at the Student Division’s Annual General Meeting on 10 November 2021.

Please submit your nominations here.

Any registered PsySSA member may submit a nomination, however, voting will be done by paid PsySSA Student Division Members on an online poll.
